“Only 1 percent of high school athletes earn scholarships, and you are that 1 percent.” — Lady Broncos Head Coach Tami McClure

On March 20, Bryana Langford and her teammates, coaches, friends, teachers and Zachary Community School administrators came together at the Zachary High School Athletic Center to close the high school chapter of what has been a successful and inspiring story.

Though the occasion was for her scholarship signing with the New Mexico Junior College Thunderbirds, it was also an opportunity for those in attendance to reflect on not only her tremendous athletic accomplishments (four-year starter, District MVP as a sophomore and a senior, All District, All Metro, etc.), but also her struggle and ability to overcome obstacles that made her the special basketball player and person she is today.
